June 22, 2017October 24, 2019 // CED News/Events Leaders from Automated Insights and Bull City Venture Partners Named Co-chairs for the CED Tech Venture Conference 2017 DURHAM, NC, June 22, 2017 — The Council for Entrepreneurial Development (CED) today announced two co-chairs for the CED Tech Venture Conference 2017: Robbie Allen, Founder and Executive Chairman of Automated Insights, and Jason Caplain, General Partner of Bull City Venture Partners. As co-chairs, they are leading strategy and plans for this major annual event along with the CED team. In its 33rd year, the CED Tech Venture Conference is one of nationās longest-running, and the Southeastās largest, entrepreneurial events with over 800 annual attendees. “Each year CED hosts the main gathering of our entrepreneurial community to showcase the regionās top emerging companies, attracting investors and strategic partners from across the U.S.,ā said Jason Caplain. āI’m excited to serve as co-chair of this year’s CED Tech Venture Conference as we facilitate learning and networking to make essential connections for NC entrepreneurs and help accelerate business growth in the state.” Over 120 investors attended last yearās conference from 65 firms including private equity funds, venture funds, angels, corporates and strategics. Over 90 of the hottest emerging and growth stage companies based in the Southeast were on display in the Demo Room, with select entrepreneurs giving on-stage presentations. āI was selected to present Automated Insights at CED Tech Venture in 2011, so I feel honored to co-chair the event this year. The CED Tech Venture Conference will be held September 19-20, 2017 in Raleigh, NC. Conference registration will open on Thursday, July 6.
