CED Member Update: FirstHealth of the Carolinas to offer Muses Labs’ MEND Protocol

FirstHealth of the Carolinas, headquartered in Pinehurst, NC, has signed an agreement to offer Muses Labs’ MEND Protocol to its community. FirstHealth serves 15 counties in NC with its network of four hospitals, primary and convenient care clinics, dental centers, home health, hospice & palliative care and health & fitness centers.

In addition to its facilities, test labs and other resources, FirstHealth will leverage its Wellness Center to enable patients to adhere to the physical activity and nutritional aspects of the Protocol.

The FirstHealth system is a particularly good fit for Muses Labs services as it is based in an area with a large aged population. Muses Labs enables FirstHealth to address the growing rates of age related cognitive decline in its community.

This is Muses Labs’ first agreement with a hospital network and it further demonstrates the fit of our services to a diverse set of providers. Our customers already include physician practices, concierge medicine, medical university and now hospitals. In the near future, we expect to expand our customer base to include adult daycares and assisted living facilities.

We have a number of steps to take with FirstHealth to launch the offering, but are excited to begin our work to address the unmet needs of a very large base of patients.
