The word “uncertainty” has been aptly used time and again to characterize the events surrounding the past year. But that doesn’t mean you have to have uncertainty around your career. In this session, you will learn key strategies for proactively managing your career during difficult times.

We will cover activities that include ongoing professional development, self-reflection, networking, and creating strong application materials. A component of this session includes self-evaluation of your resume and learning ways to make it more compelling.

Speaker Bio

Heidi Scott Giusto, Ph.D. owns and operates Career Path Writing Solutions, a communications consulting firm dedicated to helping individuals and businesses succeed when the stakes are high. She delights in helping job seekers navigate career change and guiding business owners to present their value proposition persuasively.

Heidi teaches professional development at North Carolina State University, holds certifications in resume writing, interview preparation, and empowerment coaching, and sits on the Certification Committee of the Professional Association of Resume Writers and Career Coaches. Heidi graduated from Duke University with her Ph.D. in history in 2012, after which she immediately transitioned into business ownership.
