Event Details

The landscape of manufacturing is rapidly evolving and without change, manufacturers must be agile and adaptive to keep up with growing demands for product complexity, customizability, quality and efficiency of design and prototyping. Additive manufacturing (3D printing in an industrial setting) is one of the technologies at the forefront of the fourth industrial revolution. Join us to understand what resources are available to help you explore this technology, and realize ways it can potentially revolutionize your organization’s operations and product offerings.
The North Carolina Defense Industry Diversification Initiative (NCDIDI) and NC State’s Industry Expansion Solutions will be hosting an additive manufacturing webinar presented by two speakers who have expertise in this arena: Sam Dirani, Shop Manager for Hangar6 at First Flight Venture Center and Josh Cramer, Education and Workforce Director for AmericaMakes.
The speakers will discuss the current resources available to manufacturers in North Carolina regarding additive manufacturing and the workforce implications for shifting to additive manufacturing. You’ll also learn about the work AmericaMakes has been doing in competency modeling and credential development at the national level.
Join us on Tuesday, September 1 at 11:00 a.m. to learn more about additive manufacturing, and learn ways that you can engage our additive manufacturing team to prototype a project so you can see additive manufacturing in action.
