Press Release – Council for Entrepreneurial Development (CED) Welcomes New Directors to CED Board
RTP, NC, July 23, 2020 — The Council for Entrepreneurial Development (CED), the longest-running entrepreneurial support organization in the nation, today announced its 2020-2021 Board of Directors. In order to strengthen North Carolina’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, CED provides resources and services to propel companies into highly successful businesses. We are excited to announce seven new directors who are committed to furthering CED’s mission. Feel free to explore their background and make a connection on LinkedIn.
Meet our new Directors:
The Board has appointed Ravila Gupta, CEO of Bagchi Group, as its Interim Chair to lead through the leadership transition. Gupta will take over for Brad Schomber, CFO, Spoonflower who served as Board Chair for the 2019-2020 year.
“CED is fortunate to have a blend of voices and perspectives on its Board,” says Rowell (Interim CEO) “We plan to continue to leverage the knowledge, experience, and connectivity of the board to strengthen CED as a resource for entrepreneurial companies that depend on us for support.”
Rowell joined CED in 2017 with a thirst for improving how CED delivers value within a well-established ecosystem. She is currently working with Board Leadership to further engage it’s Directors in exciting initiatives like the Entrepreneurial Programming Task Force. History has taught us that with an economic downturn, there is an increase in start-ups. CED is positioned to support an influx of early innovators in the market and is leveraging successful entrepreneurs to develop programming that supports their needs.
The CED Board is composed of at least one-third Entrepreneurs which provides experience and wisdom from some of the most successful entrepreneurs in the state. To explore the full listing of the CED Board visit our website now.
