CED to host Demo Day for seven companies in GRO6 cohort
RTP, NC, November 1, 2023 — The Council for Entrepreneurial Development (CED) is proud to announce its upcoming Demo Day for the sixth cohort of the GRO Incubator. The event is free to attend, however, please register in advance via this link.
GRO Demo Day is a celebration of innovation and entrepreneurship, featuring pitches from seven promising companies that have successfully completed CED’s 12-week incubator program. The startup founders have been diligently developing their businesses, and this event marks the culmination of their hard work.

The highlight of GRO Demo Day is the presentation of the seven companies’ business ideas and their progress over the course of the program. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from entrepreneurs who are developing tech and life science products, connect with the entrepreneurs behind them, and learn about the exciting prospects of these startups.
The 7 companies are:
- Growterra is developing the digital transformation for indoor farming. Agriculture is one of the most outdated industries in its digital journey and Growterra builds/integrates the necessary software solutions to jump-start their journey to Industry 4.0.
- Carpool.School simplifies the process of onboarding families for carpools to and from school. It streamlines busy family schedules and contributes to having one less car on the road. The team believes that with the support of school administrators, they can make a real difference in their communities.
- DiffyQ accelerates competency-based learning outcomes with data-driven insights. Their easy-to-use platform saves K-12 teachers time while facilitating the accurate identification of individualized student learning opportunities
- EMF Disturbance Monitors: Heart disease is the leading cause of death (for men, women, and people of most racial and ethnic groups) in the United States. The team is developing a new cardiac diagnostic platform that will save lives because it is faster, easier, and less expensive than anything on the market today
- Kimiabazaar is a chemical e-commerce company selling specialty chemicals to scientists/researchers in academia and industry. The goal is to connect startups with specialty chemical buyers
- Spidernow is a technical SEO Spider Tool that discovers and improves on-page SEO issues with your website to increase your rankings. Their website crawler captures and extracts vital website data and performs a site audit in real time so you can analyze the results quickly.
- Teach Base is an online application that allows teachers to manage personal tasks, plan, and deliver lessons without changing browser tabs.
Following the presentations, there will be ample time for networking, allowing attendees to engage with the entrepreneurs, coaches, and fellow members of the entrepreneurial community.
