CED Partners with the Coulter Foundation and Duke University to Bring the 2018 Coulter Investment Forum to Raleigh

In Conjunction with the CED Life Science Conference 2018

DURHAM, NC, December 5, 2017 — The Council for Entrepreneurial Development (CED) today announced that the 2018 Coulter Investment Forum will take place in conjunction with the twenty-seventh annual CED Life Science Conference to be held February 27-28, 2018 at the Raleigh Convention Center in Raleigh, NC.

Hosted by the Wallace H. Coulter Foundation and Duke University, the Coulter Investment Forum will spotlight life science companies representing a dozen top-tier universities from across the U.S. and offering solutions ranging from device to imaging, diagnostics to therapeutics.

“We are thrilled to work with Duke University and the Coulter Foundation to bring this unique event to the Triangle for the first time ever alongside our signature conference,” said Ravila Gupta, President and CEO of CED. “This partnership allows even more emerging life science companies to be showcased and expands exposure for NC entrepreneurs to additional out-of-state investors and industry leaders.”

The Coulter Investment Forum will feature presentations from up to 20 companies, all from the participating universities. In parallel, the CED Life Science Conference will showcase over 25 companies on the main ballroom stage, including a few of the Coulter companies. In CED’s Innovation Room, all of the Coulter companies will be exhibited along with over 50 companies selected by CED for in-person networking with all attendees.

CED will announce the companies selected for on-stage presentation and the Innovation Room in January, as applications recently closed.

The CED Life Science Conference is one of nation’s longest-running entrepreneurial events with over 1,000 annual attendees. The conference boasts a first-class agenda featuring thought leadership from keynote speakers and expert panels, showcases the Southeast’s most exciting and innovative life science companies, and connects these companies to a diverse group of venture capital and corporate investors.
