Forge Spotlight – Taylor Coil of Fashivly

Taylor Coil is a product-builder, marketer, and a co-founder. She’s currently building the operations arm at Fashivly, a fashion startup that exists to help you feel more like yourself in your clothes. Their core product is a personal style guide—you tell them about you, your lifestyle, budget, and vibe. And their team of stylists puts together a totally bespoke set of looks that are 100% you.

Taylor is building out the product and operations arm of the company, currently in an exciting phase of growth. Why is she jazzed about Fashivly? Well, for Taylor, it checks 3 boxes: consumer-facing, in an interesting industry, and it’s a female-oriented space.

She knew that her Co-Founders Ashlyn Greer and Mollye Rivera were the people she wanted to work with right off the bat. Simply put, “We built good products quickly that continued to perform well and make our clients happy, and we had a great time doing it together” Coil mentioned.

Taylor cares deeply about human-centric products and technology. She’s in charge of building Fashivly’s consumer tech platform, an AI-augmented experience where users learn more about their own style to make better shopping decisions and have more fun getting dressed in the morning.

“We’re on v3 of a platform that’s using AI on the back end. Our consumer-facing version just launched Fall 2024. We’re taking ourselves from a service business that has growth but not scale, to a fashion tech business.” said Coil. And Fashivly is just getting started.

So, how has CED boosted Taylor’s startup journey?

  • Sponsorship: CED sponsored her attendance to the Business of Software Conference, where she learned a ton and made connections that led to introductions to new potential investors for Fashivly’s Seed round.
  • Opening doors: Participated in the RevOps Mastermind cohort in 2024. “It was a great community, this program allowed me to meet CED’s JP Maloney—he’s opened so many doors for me.”
  • Community: CED connected her with long-time CED member, Allison Wood, who is now a valuable mentor for Taylor as she navigates building a startup while expecting her first child (congrats, Taylor!).
