September 8, 2020September 8, 2020 // CED News/Events // GRO The Secret Sauce of CED’s GRO Program Application deadline is this week- September 10th. The most important aspect of any accelerator or incubator program is the experts you will meet, learn from, and work with. CED is blessed to have a deep and rich network of experts it called on as we put together our GRO incubator. We refer to these folks as CED’s “secret sauce.” We have assembled more than 15 #coaches for this fall’s cohort. Each coach will work one-on-one with a company to help guide the company through their unique questions and challenges during the entire 10-week program. Each coach has either started, scaled, and sold his/her own business or invests time, energy, and money in early-stage companies to help them reach critical scale. We have a lineup of expert speakers on a range of important topics. A few of the confirmed experts include: John Austin and Tom Collopy will focus on doing effective customer discovery and the importance of testing your most critical business model hypothesis early. Chris Heivly and Dave Neal will explain how to craft a great investor pitch. Tim McLoughlin will share how to build a repeatable business model, Neil Bagchi will cover the pros and cons of incorporation options, key employee agreements, basic contracts, and CDA’s and Glen Caplan will cover term sheets a and the key provision you need to know before you raise outside equity. We will also have the pleasure of hearing from multiple experienced #entrepreneurs as they share their journey, what they learned along the way, and what they wished they knew before they started. Robbie Allen, Drew Schiller, Bill Spruill, Ricci Wolman will all speak plus a few other “surprise guests” you’ll meet during this session And as a foundation to all this, we have Ryan Allis, who shares, in great detail–with full slide backup, how he started and grew iContact to more than $50 million in revenue before selling the company, He will cover, starting, growing and scaling and a full range of how to’s on; design thinking, go-to-market, marketing math, raising capital, the importance of company culture and more. So the CED Gro program is really built for the community by the community- CED’s secret sauce. The deadline for applying to the next cohort is Thursday, September 10th. If you want to increase your chances of success, come meet and learn from those that have been there before. Apply Today for our Fall 2020 Cohort!
