Apply To Pitch at Venture Atlanta

Venture Atlanta Deadline is August 6^th!

If you are looking to meet investors, now or anytime in the next nine months, Venture Atlanta is a must attend event in the southeast. Venture Atlanta will take place October 20-21 and promises the opportunity to meet/get noticed by 350 investors for both seed and growth stage companies raising equity.

While our local VC landscape has significantly improved over the past five years (North Carolina-based tech companies raised more than $2.5 billion in capital last year) the vast majority of that (≈ 80%) came from investors not based in North Carolina. Where do they meet these investors? One way to get noticed is to be on stage at a super-regional event like Venture Atlanta.

Last year I challenged our region to get 50 companies on stage. We didn’t come close.  Now not every company that applies will be selected for sure, but I hate to hear entrepreneurs complain they can’t find investors, then come to find out they didn’t apply to any pitch competitions. To paraphrase a quote I heard recently, “you’ve got to meet your dreams halfway”.
