Dory Li is a senior at the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics (NCSSM). She’s excited to present her research project, “Diblock Protein-coated DNA Nanostructures: Application in Drug Delivery”. Her work was recently named a winner of the NC International Science Challenge, and she will travel to Beijing, China to present her research at the Youth Science Creation Competition in March. Dory was also recognized as a Regeneron Science Talent Search Scholar. She prepared for her project through the NCSSM Research in Chemistry program and conducted her research at North Carolina State University in summer 2016.
Dory also leads a nonprofit organization working against educational inequality. She is an avid clarinetist and enjoys ice skating, traveling, and learning languages. An Editor-in-Chief of NCSSM’s student-produced research journal, Dory loves helping her peers showcase their scientific work. She is especially interested in interdisciplinary fields like public health and mathematical modeling that apply STEM to address real-world social issues. Dory looks forward to attending college in the fall!
