Company Profile: MVTRAK

CED Tech Venture Conference 2017 - Lightning Round
Sub-sector: Health
Year Founded: 2015

MVTrak’s products and services sense and protect athletes and warfighters for impact and trauma—in particular Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). TBI is a critical problem in sports and in the military, causing $20B of medical cost annually and untold hardship for victims and their families. The company’s first product is a lightweight, accurate, easy-to-use head motion sensor that will revolutionize the way that TBI is tracked, treated and managed. From this foundation, MVTrak is innovating the next generation of headgear and helmets, as well as assessment tools for better treatment outcomes. With powerful technology and its world-class team from Duke University (and other local universities), MVTrak is the only company in the world to deliver real solutions to a critically underserved market. Similar to the paradigm shift in automobile safety that created a multi-billion dollar industry, we are building a high potential company focused on protecting valuable human lives.
