CED Partners with DataPalooza to provide team coaches

NC DataPalooza, a regional open-data competition that connects local entrepreneurs with relevant, clean data drawn from national, state, and local resources to develop applications and solutions that catalyze positive community and economic impact, is working with CED to provide expert coaches to participating teams.

Teams will work closely with four mentors from CED’s Venture Mentoring Service, a program that uses a team mentoring approach to pair entrepreneurs with 3 to 4 volunteer mentors. Through the program, entrepreneurs gain expertise from seasoned startup founders and corporate executives as they deal with the ups and downs of launching a new company.

The four CED coaches will each meet with their assigned DataPalooza team a few times throughout the summer, coaching them on things like business planning, sales strategy, and customer acquisition.
