DayJet and Sony Ericsson Executives to Keynote CED’s Tech 2007
Iacobucci and Jarwala Will Address Attendees at 17th Annual Conference
August 9, 2007, RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – The Council for Entrepreneurial Development (CED) today confirmed that DayJet™ president and CEO Edward Iacobucci and Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications president Najmi Jarwala will provide featured remarks at Tech 2007, scheduled for October 10-11, at the Friday Center at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Edward Iacobucci is the president and CEO of DayJet Corporation, pioneer of the world’s first “Per-Seat, On-Demand” jet service. A prominent high-tech entrepreneur and system software expert, Iacobucci’s technology vision is matched by his proven management and leadership skills. In 1998 he was recognized as the top entrepreneur in the world with the prestigious CNN, USA Today and Ernst & Young “International Entrepreneur of the Year” award for his work at Citrix Systems, a company he co-founded and served as chairman of through 2000. A longtime veteran of the technology industry, Iacobucci began his career at IBM where he was a key part of Big Blue's entry into the commercial software business.
Najmi Jarwala is the president of Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications, Inc. responsible for the North American market. Jarwala brings more than 15 years of telecom industry experience to Sony Ericsson spanning Research and Development and Operations. As the senior executive overseeing the North America region, Jarwala is responsible for all operations including P&L for the region, product development, sales, marketing and North American carrier relationships. Prior to joining Sony Ericsson, Jarwala held several senior positions within AT&T Wireless Services, a leading GSM operator acquired by Cingular Wireless.
