CED Announces Opportunity 2007 Panel Lineup
Thought Leaders to Discuss Topics from New Product Design to the Future of Biotech in the Southeast
August 7, 2007, WILMINGTON, N.C. – The Council for Entrepreneurial Development (CED) today announced details on the featured panels for Opportunity 2007, set for Sept. 10-11, 2007, at the SunSpree Resort in Wrightsville Beach, N.C. Now in its fifth year, CED's Opportunity conference will present five strategic panel sessions in front of hundreds of entrepreneurs, service firms, and investors from throughout the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic states.
Opportunity 2007 will offer panel sessions on the following topics:
- Emerging High-Growth Opportunities for Biotechnology in North Carolina – Sept. 10, 2007 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
- Branding & Design of New Products: Using Both Halves of Your Brain – Sept. 11, 2007 from 10:20 a.m. to 11:50 a.m.
- Views from the Top: How to Navigate the Early Stages – Sept. 11, 2007 from 10:20 a.m. to 11:50 a.m.
- Using Web 2.0 to Leverage Your Company's Marketing – Sept. 11, 2007 from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.
- Building Innovation: Entrepreneurship in Real Estate – Sept. 11, 2007 from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.

"Opportunity 2007 explores North Carolina's rich and diverse entrepreneurial economy," said CED President Monica Doss. “The panel discussions at this year's conference will appeal to entrepreneurs and investors from a broad spectrum of industries – from biofuels and real-estate to e-commerce and natural products.”
In addition to the featured panel sessions, Opportunity 2007 will present remarks from previously announced keynote speakers – Richard Johnson, lifelong entrepreneur and former CEO of HotJobs.com, and Richard Randall, president and CEO of Wilmington-based medical device company TranS1, Inc. Opportunity 2007 will also feature early stage company presentations, Start-up Speed Dating, one-on-one Curbside Consulting sessions and the Innovators Workshop, a hands-on seminar to help entrepreneurs start and grow a business.
