Nomination Deadline for Annual Coastal Small Business Awards is Friday, May 4

June 8 Awards Breakfast Will Honor Local Entrepreneurs

May 2, 2007, Research Triangle Park, NC – The Council for Entrepreneurial Development (CED), with its hosting partners, announced today that the nomination deadline for the 11th Annual Coastal Small Business Awards is Friday, May 4. Winners will be announced at the annual awards breakfast on Friday, June 8 at the UNCW Warwick Center.

There are several categories in which companies can compete:

  • Young Entrepreneur
  • Most Innovative Entrepreneur
  • Emerging Entrepreneur
  • Established Entrepreneur
  • Burgaw Area Chamber Entrepreneur of the Year
  • Greater Hampstead Chamber Emerging Business of the Year
  • Pleasure Island Chamber Emerging Business of the Year

The U.S. Small Business Administration will also present the Outstanding Service to Entrepreneurs small business advocate award.

Last year’s winners were Hunter Brown of Blowing In The Wind, Richard Trio of Triovisions, Evan Folds of Progressive Gardens, and Brad Donnell of Linprint Company, plus a special Outstanding Economic Impact Award to Ken Dull of McKinley Building.
