CED Launches Internet T.V. Show

"On the Menu" to Feature Luncheon Conversations with Entrepreneurial Leaders

April 3, 2007, Research Triangle Park, NC – The Council for Entrepreneurial Development (CED) has launched an Internet television show featuring conversations with innovators, entrepreneurs and investors from across the region.

CED’s new Web-based interview series, "On the Menu: Out to Lunch with Innovators and Entrepreneurs," was created in partnership with Raleigh-based digital media firm Myriad Media. CED will stream a new 4-5 minute interview from its Web site every 4-6 weeks at www.cednc.org/onthemenu.

"With the rise of digital media and other Web-based technologies, entrepreneurs are looking to the Internet for valuable, unique content," said CED President Monica Doss. "To capture this online movement, CED’s new Internet T.V. show will feature leisurely, yet informative, dialogue with local entrepreneurs and other business leaders. Designed to impart value and entertainment via friendly conversation, the show will reveal personal insight as well as lessons-learned on starting and growing a business."

The first "On the Menu" interview – recorded at a New Orleans-style restaurant in downtown Raleigh called The Big Easy – features a conversation with PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Jeff Barber, who is co-chair of CED’s upcoming Venture 2007 conference (www.cednc.org/venture).

During the video-taped conversation, Myriad Media’s Will Feichter and Ricardo Roberts talk with Barber about his background, career and insight into the region’s entrepreneurial community. Visit www.cednc.org/onthemenu to view the first episode.

"In order to capture today's busy audience, we decided to take a different approach to producing On the Menu," said Myriad Media President, Will Feichter. "Instead of focusing purely on business details, we strive to capture personal nuances and philosophies you wouldn't see in typical interviews."

CED will announce future "On the Menu" episodes through its bi-weekly membership email newsletter.
