Nine Companies to Present at CED’s Opportunity 2006
Emerging Growth Companies from Across the East Coast Will Pitch to Early-Stage Investors in Wilmington on Dec. 5
October 26, 2006, Research Triangle Park, NC –The Council for Entrepreneurial Development (CED) has selected nine companies from across the East Coast to present at CED’s Opportunity 2006 Conference, scheduled for December 4-5 at the Hilton Wilmington Riverside in Wilmington, N.C.
CED accepted applications from emerging growth companies across the region seeking early-stage funding. A review committee of area angel investors recommended finalists from the competitive application process.
Starting the afternoon of December 5, selected companies will make presentations to an audience of angel investors and other conference attendees. Presenting companies include:

In addition to presenting companies, CED’s fourth annual conference will also feature previously announced keynote speakers, including Don deBethizy, president and CEO of publicly-traded Targacept, and John McConnell, a successful entrepreneur who has started, grown and sold several companies.
Opportunity 2006 will present workshops that address both new business formation and practical guidance for business operation, as well as three highly-targeted pre-conference workshops. Entrepreneurs can also request one-on-one “curbside consulting” appointments with seasoned business professionals.
