CED Accepting Venture 2007 Presenter Applications
Early Application Deadline Slated for Nov. 30; Southeast and Mid-Atlantic Companies Can Apply
October 19, 2006, Research Triangle Park, NC – The Council for Entrepreneurial Development (CED) is now accepting online applications from Southeast and Mid-Atlantic companies interested in presenting at CED’s 24th annual Venture conference, set for April 24-25, 2007, at Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club in Durham, N.C. The early application deadline is scheduled for Nov. 30.
CED is seeking high-growth companies from an array of industries and stages that are looking to raise either initial or subsequent rounds of private equity capital. Selected companies will present to hundreds of venture capitalists, angel investors and other financiers from across the country at Venture 2007.
“Our goal at Venture 2007 is to showcase the top investment opportunities in North Carolina and other East Coast innovation centers,” said CED President Monica Doss. “We welcome emerging growth companies from across the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic to apply to present at CED’s nationally recognized conference.”
Because of the highly competitive selection process, companies are encouraged to submit their applications as early as possible in order to receive full consideration during each of the three selection stages. In addition to the early consideration deadline on Nov. 30, the second deadline is set for Dec. 31 and the final deadline for Jan. 31.

Since 2001, Venture presenters have raised over $1.2 billion in venture capital. In addition to company presentations, Venture 2007 will also include leading industry speakers, extensive networking opportunities and exclusive investor-only events.
