Mission

The Council for Entrepreneurial Development (CED) was founded in 1984 to identify, enable and promote high growth, high impact entreprepreneurial companies and accelerate the entrepreneurial culture of the Research Triangle and North Carolina. CED achieves its mission by providing programs and services in four major areas: education, capital formation, outreach and communications.

Through these efforts, CED provides entrepreneurs with the knowledge and skills that will ensure success and heighten awareness of the contribution that entrepreneurial companies make to our community and our economy.

CED is a hybrid of a membership-based entrepreneurial support/advocacy organization and an economic development organization. We provide assistance to individual entrepreneurs and companies but also work to develop policies and resources in our region that will enhance entrepreneurial success.

What Members are Saying

"CED is a premiere catalyst for networking and access. CED offers one of the best available common grounds for bringing entrepreneurs of all backgrounds together." - Clay Dunnagan, VP of Business Development, Vital Source Technologies (also a FastTrac Tech instructor)
