David had this to say about CED’s most recent Tech Venture Conference: “The conference just made so clear what we already knew: it’s a really exciting time to be in RTP, and CED is the doorway to this entrepreneurial community.  I tried to meet with as many of the 80-ish companies in the Demo Room as I could, mostly because it was great fun and educational to hear their business plans. Many of the companies are fascinating and some will make many millions of dollars. We think geographic location will be come less and less important over time, and hope to position ourselves to be counsel to companies and individuals wherever they might be. Entrepreneurs will likely be able to scale technology to their benefit more quickly, but they will still need support in scaling the operational areas such as finance, human resources, marketing, and delivery. Entrepreneurs will seek experienced business partners for these key areas, and as legal counsel, we want to bring our experience to that table.
